Another super fun weekend tailgating/camping out for our Gamecocks!!!

Happy Labor Day!

We enjoyed Labor Day weekend at the beach with Mamaw and had oh so much fun! The beach house has become like a second home, Hannah and Brunson absolutely love being there with all their new friends! Hannah had a blast at Wally's street party dancing and then oh so enjoyed teaching Mamaw the Cupid Slide! We all enjoyed some friendly games of cornhole ( I especially enjoyed partnering up with Brunson and us beating Mamaw and Chris!!!). Meeting up with the Hornsby family on the beach was an extra treat, we really enjoyed playtime in the sun!

Gamecock Season In Full Effect!

What a wonderful start to The Carolina Gamecock season!!! We all had a fantastic time with friends, fans and food! I'll admit, I was somewhat nervous of tailgating with the camper, multiple days, with the kids...but it was great!!! The kids absolutely enjoyed every minute of our 3 day tailgating week!!! We can't wait till Friday and do it all over again!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Let's play catch-up!

What a wonderful busy summer we have enjoyed! We planted our very first veggie garden this year, and it was so exciting to watch our hard work and God's gifts blossom and grow each day! We camped quite a bit...which we of course love! This summer was extra exciting because Ma-maw bought a beach house and we definitely spent a lot of time enjoying the beach life!!! For me the beach is my heaven, I am happiest on any beach! When we made ourselves stay home, which wasn't very often, we began to update, organize and decorate Hannah and Brunson's rooms! If you know me, you know I hate to paint! We updated our trim to white, it was a very dark, very dated trim. We painted Hannah's room from hot pink and green to pale pink and brown, rearranged her furniture, bought some new accessories, de-cluttered and probably a lot more! Still have several finishing touches to do, but such a great start! Brunson got his furniture painted from pine to black with painted hardware, new gamecock accessories - even the new ceiling fan got USC decorated, de-cluttered and so much more! We still have to repaint his room along with some finishing touches as well. Brunson turned 7 on August 6th - oh my baby is no baby anymore :( - he had a great time celebrating this year with the boys! Mama don't care for this male bonding stuff, I don't like being left out...but understand the importance of it. Hannah and I sure enjoy our girl time, which of course always means SHOPPING!!! So as you can tell we had a fantastic super busy family filled summer and I enjoyed every bit of it! So now we are in our second day back in school, Hannah is now a mature 4th grader and Brunson is...I can't believe it, a 2nd grader!!! Both kids are at the same school this year, they are super excited about school and they are loving their new teachers! We are off to having a great school year!

Happy Anniversary to us and Happy Gamecock Day!!!

Chris and I have enjoyed everyone of the eleven years of our marriage! He is my very bestfriend and I treasure every bit of him! God has truly blessed me with a perfect match!

First time in history, the Carolina Gamecock flag is flying on top of our state house!!!



We sure had a wonderful time celebrating the Gamecock Baseball National Championship!!! The parade and state house events were amazing! The kids were so excited...and to be so upfront and center with the players was the best!

Beach Week!!!

What a fantastic vacation!!! A week in our new camper at Lakewood on the beach makes for a fun time! We put the computers, phones, and tv (well other than Gamecock baseball) away and really enjoyed being a family! Each day we enjoyed the ocean, pool, bike rides, feeding all the animals, and we surely enjoyed a night of seafood buffet, the show, High Steppin Country, the arcade, walks on the pier and of course a little beach shopping. We all sure hated to leave, but we came home relaxed and feeling really blessed to have one another. I am so proud and I love my family to pieces!!!

First Week Of Summer Break!!!

Finally the kids are out of school and it is time for some summer fun!!! Hannah (3rd grade) and Brunson (1st grade) did so well this year in school! Both were on Honor Roll all year, Hannah got excellence in attendence(didn't miss one day of school) and Brunson won the mathematics award for 1st grade!!! We are so proud of our sweet babies!!! We had our end of the year baseball party for Brunson's team, I really enjoyed being the Team Mom, while Chris was a Coach! Hannah has been enjoying her first week out of school with Mamaw while Brunson enjoyed his first baseball camp! Now that it is the weekend!!! Mamaw has Hannah and Brunson and they are on the way to the beach! I don't know who is more excited, the kids & Mamaw or Chris and me...This will be the first time Chris and I get to have a date since January!!! Thanks Mamaw!

We continue to be so proud of our little ballplayer. Something about him making those diving catches in the air is unbeleavable to me and thanks to Mamaw giving him a little batting practice has him hitting such great base hits!!! He absolutely loves baseball, and it seems like he can't get enough. Looks like being at the ballfield everynight will be our way of life for many years to come!

First Camping trip of 2010!

What a fantastic first camping trip of 2010!!! We enjoyed a weekend at Tommie and Keri's land. This was the first time taking the new camper out and what a huge improvement, we enjoyed it so much!!! Can't wait for next weekend's camping trip!!!
