Back to work for this Mama!

I started getting my feet wet in a little real estate again and I love it!  One week in and I am really enjoying the challenges so far!  I do love the industry and working for Thomas seems to be going to be a great fit.  I see big, or I should say bigger productivity for us!  Being able to work part-time and still be available to Hannah and Brunson for all their afternoon activities is wonderful!  I have to admit it has been a challenging first week, my back always wants to put me in fits at the most inopportune times, then the second day on the job and Hannah gets the tummy bug and of course Brunson follows with vomiting Tuesday night and then of course Chris on Friday!  Thank goodness, so far, I have not caught it YET.  Aunt Cathy has been our savior in helping with picking up kids and always being available to her, a HUGE Thank you to her!!!

The South Carolina State Fair

We had an amazing time visiting the state fair this week!  Hannah and Brunson enjoyed many..MANY rides!  The kids love all the sights and sounds and really had a great time with their friends, Savannah and Haden.  Hannah is still in love with anything scary and dangerous, while Brunson has gotten much braver to most all rides now!

Midland Storm

We had a fantastic weekend full of baseball! Brunson played his first travel baseball 10U tournament! Not only was this B's first travel ball tournament, this was his first time playing in games of this age level. From Coach's Pitch age to Minor's is a huge difference - kids are doing the pitching now, we can steal, bunt and oh so much more like "real baseball". I was so proud of B, he successfully laid down his first bunt, he stole off of a walk along with countless other steals, made a great diving catch, sealed up center field pretty nicely and even pitched to his first batter!!!

Chris's Boo Boo!

Chris isn't as young....or as athletic as he use to be!  Needless to say his softball days are now over!  Making diving catches is your teen years are way different to making them in your mid thirties.

Chris's arm after being reset and now in trackion.  I was nice and didn't include the picture of his S shaped arm before the reset!

Almost a week later, finally he has his surgery.

After 12 screws and a plate, hopefully it is fixed and he will heal properly!

Since Chris was out of work 4 weeks, he decided for the first time in his adult life he would grow a beard!  Brunson hated it and told him so everyday!!!  I admit...after it grew enough to be soft, I liked it!  But, if you know me well enough, you would know I love everything about my husband!!!

Mr. Brunson Christopher Stone

So Brunson had career day at school today!  He was super excited and decided he would dress the part of a professional baseball player in full uniform.  Well after dinner and shower tonight he comes to me dressed in a three piece suit!  I'm guessing he did some soul searching about his future and decided he now would like to be an attorney!  Well this Mama sure likes the sound of this!  My Wednesday night fun is playing office with my very handsome attorney, Brunson Stone!
I love my son!!!

It's been awhile....

It has been a crazy summer to say the very least! From Allstar baseball to three weeks at the beach to spending 2 weeks in Camden. We have had some amazing times and some very sad times. Abby, our black lab passed away, which absolutely broke all of our hearts, but almost killed Chris. We adopted a new puppy into the home, she is a golden retriever named Jersey. She is about 7 months now (the vet guesses) active as you would imagine a puppy would be, but yet just like a little southern belle.
As soon as baseball ended we headed to the beach, which was amazingly relaxing, but oh how I missed Chris during the week...we looked so forward to the weekends when he would drive down to the beach. Hannah and Brunson had friends down the entire time and had so much fun!
We celebrated Brunson's 9th birthday in Camden, it is simply amazing to watch my baby grow so fast! So hard to understand how time goes by so quickly. Chris and I are so very proud of the little man he has become. He loves and believes in God with all his heart. So sensitive of sins and bad behaviors yet such a boy's boy with baseball, hunting and all around boy behavior!
We love being in Camden with our extended family and we try to work these visits in as much as we can between ball schedules! The kids love fishing and swimming at Mamaw's and they sure had a lot of time to do both. Got to spend quality time with Mamaw, Uncle Greg, Patrick, Hank and Sam! We spent time prepareing our hunting spots, cause deer season is just around the corner! We can't wait!!!
And finally today is the start of 6th grade for Hannah (her first year in middle school) and Brunson starting the 4th grade!!! I'm actually looking forward to schedules and fun family nights at home! I'm sure things will remain just as crazy and out of sorts with travel baseball for Brunson, art programs for Hannah, tailgating and hunting for us all, but I guess these are the things our little family of four enjoy! I just need at least a week to get my home back in order - you see Chris has been a bachelor during the last 6 weeks (coming to see us on weekends - with dirty laundry in hand) and my house is a stinky boy mess!!!
