Creativity is the basis of all learning!!!

I do LOVE to watch children learn and grow through creativity. These babies love arts&crafts and of course, they still love to sing and play the guitar!!! What a fun way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon!!!

Weekend Fun!

What a weekend. Friday was so fun, Mama came down and spent the afternoon with us. We had fun getting her clothes and accessories ready for her cruise! And Saturday, well that was a little bit of a mess. Mama and Aunt Cathy were scheduled for an early flight out of Columbia airport to Chicago. That did not work out so good. With the plane crash Friday night, Columbia airport was shut down! I had to rush and pick them back up from our airport and get them to Charleston FAST. We made it in time and Mama and Aunt Cat are somewhere in the seas sipping a fruity drink relaxing on a beautiful ship!!! With the road trip I made, I missed Toodie's Birthday Bash! Happy Birthday!!! Saturday evening it was, of course, football at the house. Marcie and the kids, Jenny, Jamie and the kids all came over for some football and play! Sunday was mostly relaxing EXCEPT, painting Brunson's room. He has been wanting a "new room". He wanted a change and the first step was painting his room what he calls the Gamecock color!!!

Chris is finally going to rehab

AND KICKING HIS COKE HABIT!!!

That's right! After 9 years of working with Coca-Cola, Chris has resigned and will soon be moving on. His two week notice will end September 18 and then he will start his new career at Unifirst.
This was a long, hard and scary decision, but we are most excited now that the decision has been made. His possibilities seem endless now. The Unifirst family has welcomed Chris and our family with open arms and we couldn't be more happy. I mean really, great work staff & environment, Monday-Friday schedule, AND more $$$...We are so blessed!!!

TO BE SO BLESSED!!!

Today I start living the rest of my life. A revelation of self searching has finally brought me with my family to a place of peace. I am so excited about life and it is the best feeling!!! Not that I have been unhappy, it was just a place of uncertainty of hard decisions. Well not anymore. The dedication, prayers and self awareness leads my family and myself in to a whole new way of life. An excitement of a safe future, a sense of hope and the facts of knowing the right decisions have been made is leaving me bursting with pride. I now feel I know the key to having the best life for me. A huge thanks to all the friends and family whom have helped us through these trying times. Without your courage and continued support, I don't know if we could have been strong enough to stand and make such changes in our ways of thinking and lifestyles. The biggest thanks and unconditional love, I owe to my husband. Chris is the bravest and most loving man I could ever dream of sharing my life with. I am always in amazement of your love and dedication. I am so proud of you and I look forward to our new and exciting life.

Sarah Palin

After listening to the speech of Governor Palin, I am more proud to be an American than ever before. I mean, wow!!! The lady has her smarts and she rocked the house all night. This lady showed her experiences and qualifications, and stood strong against the negative press from the Democrats. These are just a few of my favorite quotes from her tonight!
"I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities."
"As for my running mate, you can be certain that wherever he goes and whoever is listening John McCain is the same man."
"And now, I’ve noticed a pattern with our opponent, and maybe you have, too. We’ve all heard his dramatic speeches before devoted followers, and there is much to like and admire about our opponent.
But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or even a reform, not even in the State Senate. This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word “victory,” except when he’s talking about his own campaign."
"For a season, a gifted speaker can inspire with his words. But for a lifetime, John McCain has inspired with his deeds. If character is the measure in this election, and hope the theme, and change the goal we share, then I ask you to join our cause. Join our cause and help America elect a great man as the next president of the United States. Thank you, and God bless America. Thank you."

Palen started her path of community love from her children's school PTA programs and moved to school board to Mayor to Governor and so much more in-between...and very soon to the Vice President of the United States of America. I could just go on and on about her achievements and qualifications, but the woman has integrity and knowledge that is so top notch!!!
