Hannah is missing Patrick!

Hannah is so sweet! She has been so upset she didn't get to see Patrick at Mamaw's last weekend. Hannah has been talking about Patrick all week and making him little cards. Today's card she said "Mama, you put this one on the internet!"

Thank you Daddy!!! We Love You!!!

What a weekend! After seven years we finally decided to get another car!!! The kids got to have a sleepover at Aunt Beth's and Uncle Steve's, which is a nice treat for everyone! Chris took advantage of the night kid less and took me out on a much appreciated date! It was such a peaceful dinner and I enjoyed every minute of it! And after dinner we went to just "window shop" for some cars. Of course, I just fell in love with this red Dodge...just had to have it! I am such a Dodge girl, just like my Daddy!!! After just signing our life away to car payments, we decided we just really needed to celebrate! Off to meet up with some great friends for a fun adult night! However much fun we had Saturday night, nothing compared to Sunday morning! Picking up the kids with a new car was the best part of all! Hannah sees the car and says "who's car is that", Brunson says "MINE" and takes off running and jumps in the car! He was too funny!!! Hannah was in shock and then started talking a million miles a minute! She was ready to go scooter pooting (as we call it) and go show everyone our new toy!

We all had so much fun and watching Hannah with all her school friends was priceless. I cannot believe how much she has grown this year, she continues to amaze us and make us so proud daily!

All in a days work

Let me first say I am very blessed and I love being a Realtor! But this last week has been quite testing! Situation one: I contact a Realtor concerning one of his listings. All the man wants to talk about is recruiting me to work for his company! I tell him I am not interested and the man becomes just ill with me. I present my clients offer and he actually gets mad at the offer and does not even counter it. I mean come on...would anyone want to work with a company that does not take care of it's clients!
Situation two: My sellers have a cat that they can't take with them! Well an agent shows my listing and calls me crying...Yes I said crying. She is so upset because the cat is in a kennel. Yes there is water, food and a litter box in the kennel (so you can imagine the size of this kennel). I tell the lady that my sellers found a good home for the cat and she would be at her new home by the end of the week. Well, obviously this does not make the woman happy. She came into the home at 10:00 p.m. and TAKES the cat. Yes, she used her lockbox key to come into my clients home and remove their personal property! No call, no note, nothing!
So now for situation number three: I am working with buyers on this one. We are actually scheduled to close on the home as I am typing this! The county has this deed in the wrong name. So after having three different law firms contacting them they say it will be changed! This is great, opps hold on it will take them a week! They only work first come first serve. This was their mistake and they can't just go into the system and correct it ~ a whopping two minutes worth of their time!
I am still smiling and at least I had one smooth closing this week!

Happy Mother's Day!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Our Mother's Day was pretty busy! The start of my day was great! Breakfast in bed, how much better does it get? I ate wonderful pancakes and bacon, as I had the sweet aroma of fresh cut roses! Then it was off to Maw-Maw's house for a visit! We gave Mom her gifts (a birdbath & beautiful picture) and then we had some lunch! After lunch we headed to go see Nana's for a visit! What fun that was, there was singing, and tributes to be told, and of course the kids enjoyed all the Yummy treats! So then we decide to head back to Maw-maw's for alittle fishing! We caught lots and lots of fish! The kids really had a great time! Happy Mother's day!

More Softball Fun!

Today was the closing ceremonies for softball. All the girls got a trophy and were called out to the center of the field! They enjoyed playing games and riding on Coach Steve's horses! Brunson was too funny, he lost in the sack race and got all upset because the girls beat him. We all know his time is coming! Hannah enjoys being apart of a team and I am sure she will miss these girls this summer!

The Last game of the season!

Wow what a way to end the season! All the girls did great tonight! I was so proud of Hannah, she went 4 for 4 and was so happy with herself. She really had a great time. She caught and played in the outfield! I just love her catching....too cute and she gets a lot of action!

Watching Hannah play has made me reflect on my softball days!

Life in the Stone household has been so crazy, turned upside down, full of changes, and super fun. In general we are not a family that takes to changes very well. However one small life decision can change everything. This year so far has had lots of ups and downs. Starting with Hannah starting school, which I still think is the hardest life change of all. Losing my baby but gaining such a strong, independent little lady has been the most amazing journey. Her adjustment to school was so exciting to be able to watch and be apart of. She is her own little person now. And with school came the adventure of softball. Well...what an experience! She absolutely loves playing, she improves on a weekly basis and it makes us so proud. Now Brunson is my right hand man. He is still at home with me and so he is Mommy's special helper". He loves to help do everything! He loves doing "his homework" and his writing skills are really getting impressive. Give the boy a ball, bat and baseball glove and he is set. He is so looking forward to playing on a real team next year! Mama/Maw-Maw has really had a tough year. Being diagnosed with breast cancer has changed all of our lives. She is now cancer free, after two invasive surgeries! The process has been so hard, but a lot of good has come out as well. She has taught us to appreciate family and life in general. Not to take life so seriously and to take some chances and really experience life. So now Chris has decided on a career change. At the age of thirty he is getting bored and is excited to find a new challenge in his professional life. What a scary decision to make. He is taking this process slowly and thinking out all his options and what is best for the family. We are all so proud of him. And me...well let me tell you! Real Estate is booming for me. I am so excited to have so many new and repeat clients. That saying, when it rains it pours...well that is my business right now and I couldn't be any happier. So much so that, yes me, is searching for a new car. I know, I have had the explorer for 6 years now, why change? The car has been so good I hate to let it go, however it is pushing 200,000 miles. We have narrowed our search to about two or three different vehicles, so I am certain I will make a decision soon. Again says the girl that hates changes.
