From the Congaree to the Wateree - Weekend Fun

What a great weekend! A little busy, but so fun! There is no better time than spending weekends with our beautiful kids. We went to the Congaree to meet up with The Fulmer family for a very fun day. We decided to let Hannah play hookie from school Monday and we surprised Maw-Maw for a day of fun on the Wateree! We had such a great time in the boat, fishing (we caught 20 fish), swimming, and nature hunting! Maw-maw made a wonderful dinner of ribs and lots of fixings.

Fun Day At Bray Park!

Hannah, Brunson and all the kids had a great time playing at the softball fun day! With a bouncy house, a dunking booth (Chris totally got wet about 100 times), rock climbing, and so much more! What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

We Did It!

Brunson and I completed our task of making the Strawberry Jelly...Well come to find out we made Jam. The difference between the two I never knew. Jelly is pure berry juice and jam has bits or chunks of the berry in with the berry juice. I learn something new everyday. And on that note, I am glad I do not live during the times of no grocery stores to buy my berries or my jams. This was two days of hard, but very rewarding work! Now I am off to tackle the task of cleaning this messy, red stained kitchen!!!

Good Pickens!

Brunson and Mommy enjoyed a morning of picking strawberries with Auntie Alisha and Jackson. Once Brunson learned the right color strawberry for picking and determining not to get the "dead ones" we filled two baskets pretty quickly! More hopefully to come tomorrow, when Brunson and I make our homemade strawberry Jelly!

Fresh Air!

What a beautiful day to enjoy the great outdoors! The Stone family had a great afternoon on the Congaree River - with boating, fishing, sun and swimming. It was nice to just have our family all to ourselves and there weren't any other boats out, so we didn't even have to share the sandbar!
